A New Fan Experience at the All-Star Village
The Capital One All-Star Village opened its doors Saturday morning at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, turning the venue into a vibrant hub of baseball activity just days before the league’s flagship midsummer event.
Visitors can test their swing on two dedicated baseball diamonds, explore interactive displays, and dive into virtual‑reality simulations that bring the game’s biggest moments to life.
Senior Manager of Global Events for MLB, Robert Field, emphasized that the space was designed to give fans room to explore, blending entertainment with the sport’s rich culture.
Stars of the Game Make Appearances
Former Phillies legends Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Howard joined the festivities, greeting fans and sharing stories from their careers, adding a nostalgic flavor to the modern setup.
The event also showcases culinary highlights from across the nation, including a 9th‑inning Sombrero inspired by the Houston Texans, giving attendees a taste of regional flavors.
More Than Just Baseball
Beyond the diamonds, the village hosts a MLB Draft stage where Commissioner Rob Manfred will announce the upcoming picks, a moment many anticipate as a highlight of the weekend.
Ticketed and open to the public from 9 a.m. Saturday through Tuesday, the All-Star Village aligns its schedule with the All-Star Game, offering a full‑day experience for enthusiasts and casual fans alike.
With food, games, and the chance to meet iconic players, the village aims to deepen fan engagement and celebrate baseball’s community spirit ahead of the championship showdown.
