Community Care Meets Youth Baseball
On a bright Saturday morning, the Cardinals Care organization set up a back‑to‑school distribution and health fair for children participating in the "Rubber Rookies" youth baseball program. The event welcomed kids between the ages of five and thirteen, offering a blend of educational resources and medical attention.
Each participant left with a goodie bag packed with school supplies, while volunteers handed out nutritional guidance and information about local health services. The fair was designed to prepare the youngsters for the upcoming academic year and to promote overall well‑being.
Amanda Small, Commissioner of Youth Baseball and Softball, spoke about the five pillars that guide the program: education, culture, arts, mentorship, scholarship and health. Her remarks underscored the organization’s commitment to fostering holistic development among the participants.
