Carisma Lynn joins New Mexico State Women’s Basketball as Director of Operations

Carisma Lynn has stepped into a new role as the Director of Basketball Operations for the New Mexico State Women's Basketball program, a move that signals the university’s intent to bolster its staff with seasoned expertise.

Her academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from North Carolina State University, earned in 2023, followed by a Master of Science in Education in Sport Administration from the University of Miami, completed in 2024. Prior to this appointment she honed her skills as an Operations Graduate Assistant with the University of Miami Track & Field/Cross Country team and as a Social Media Intern for WSLAM in New York City, where she crafted storytelling content focused on women’s basketball.

At Winthrop University she oversaw day‑to‑day operations, coordinated budgets and served as the primary liaison between the team and administration. During her tenure the Eagles recorded 15 victories and reached the Big South Championship semifinals, underscoring her capacity to manage complex logistical demands.

Coach’s endorsement

Head Coach Adeniyi Amadou welcomed Lynn’s arrival, stating that she “has the ability to quickly settle into her role and her commitment to the program,” highlighting the confidence the coaching staff places in her leadership.

Beyond the collegiate arena, Lynn has contributed to the Unrivaled League as the Mist Basketball Club Coordinator, where she managed scheduling and logistics for practices and games, and she previously worked with Klutch Sports Group, assisting in athlete representation research and event planning.
