A Season of Firsts
Caroline Harvey, a star defender for the Wisconsin Badgers, was crowned the Bob Allen women's player of the year by USA Hockey for the second consecutive season, a testament to her sustained excellence on the ice.
Her impact extended beyond the collegiate ranks as she guided Team USA to an Olympic gold medal, earning tournament MVP and top defender honors while also securing first‑team All‑American status for the third straight year at Wisconsin.
Harvey’s statistical dominance was evident throughout the campaign, finishing the season ranked No. 1 nationally in assists per game at 1.39 and capturing the prestigious Patty Kazmaier Award, presented to the nation’s top women’s college player.
The accolades continued as she prepared to enter the professional arena, with a scheduled appearance in the Professional Women’s Hockey League draft set for June 17 in Detroit, where she hopes to translate her collegiate success to the next level.
