Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has named Carson Brown as the full‑time driver of its No. 2 Chevrolet in the 2027 O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, marking a significant step in the team’s driver development program.
A New Chapter for RCR
Brown first appeared in NASCAR national series competition in 2026 at Iowa Speedway, where he piloted the No. 32 Jordan Anderson Racing Chevrolet to a 15th‑place finish, though he was not entered for the RCR entry that weekend.
The move comes as Jesse Love prepares to transition to the NASCAR Cup Series, taking over the No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford previously driven by Josh Berry, while Chandler Smith is set to assume the No. 33 Chevrolet previously fielded by Austin Hill.
In the ARCA Menards Series, Daniel Dye will contest the season‑ending Winn‑Dixie 250 at Daytona on August 28, a race that will be televised live on the CW Network at 7:30 p.m. ET, adding another layer of excitement to the upcoming finale.
Looking Ahead
With a blend of veteran experience and emerging talent, RCR aims to maintain its competitive edge across the developmental and premier series, while fans can anticipate a dynamic season of driver changes and new storylines.
