Carson Hocevar set the fastest lap in qualifying, clocking 48.232 seconds to claim the pole for the Brickyard 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. His effort was half a tenth quicker than teammate Daniel Suarez, who will line up second on the grid.
