Cave Spring’s girls soccer team has cemented its place in regional history, capturing the Region 3D championship for the third straight year.
In the title match, the team surged ahead early when Riley Guzo found the net, and added two more goals in the second half to seal a 3‑0 victory over Hidden Valley.
Regional championships across the board
Other regional finals saw Nelson County defeat Glenvar 3‑0 in a girls matchup, while Western Albemarle edged LCA 5‑1, and in the boys division Altavista, Glenvar, LCA, and Christiansburg each posted decisive wins.
