The Caverna High School gymnasium was filled with cheers on Wednesday as four of its top boys basketball players put pen to paper, officially committing to continue their careers at the collegiate level. Jaylin Crain, the team’s standout guard and Region Player of the Year, announced his decision to attend Alcorn State University, where he hopes to contribute to the Braves’ offensive attack. Joining him, Cortavion Maxey chose Midway University, citing the school’s strong academic reputation and promising basketball program. Both athletes were quick to thank their coaches and teammates for the journey that led to this moment.
