Playoff Schedule Overview
The Central Coast Section has released a comprehensive slate of games for its baseball and softball playoffs, covering every division from I through VI and an Open category. The schedule details semifinal pairings, final dates and the venues that will host the championship contests.
Baseball action kicks off with Division I semifinals at Excite Ballpark in San Jose. The afternoon will feature a clash between No. 3 Los Gatos and No. 2 Valley Christian at 4 p.m., followed by a night game at 7 p.m. where No. 5 Soquel takes on No. 1 St. Francis.
The Division I championship is set for Saturday at the same venue, with the final slated for 7 p.m., promising a showdown between the winners of the earlier matchups.
Division II saw Archbishop Mitty dominate Carmel 21‑0 in five innings on Tuesday, and the team now prepares for a semifinal against the victor of a Wednesday night contest between Burlingame and Palma, scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Division II final will be played on Friday at Excite Ballpark, again at 7 p.m., where Mitty will meet the survivor of that semifinal.
Division III semifinals feature Wilcox blanking Hollister 7‑0 and a later contest pitting Aptos against Menlo School at 6:30 p.m. The division’s championship is set for Thursday at Excite Ballpark, also at 7 p.m.
In Division IV, Santa Cruz edged Los Altos 6‑2, while Piedmont Hills routed Harbor 13‑9. The Division IV final will take place on Thursday at Excite Ballpark, with kickoff at 4 p.m.
Division V semifinals will be held on Wednesday at Santa Clara University, where St. Francis‑Watsonville will face No. 1 San Mateo at 3:30 p.m. and Sobrato will meet Half Moon Bay at 6:30 p.m. The division’s championship is scheduled for Friday at Excite Ballpark, also at 4 p.m.
Division VI semifinals are set for Wednesday, featuring a matchup of El Camino against Leland and another between Pacific Grove and Gunn. The division’s final will be on Saturday at Excite Ballpark, with a 4 p.m. start.
The softball playoffs mirror this structure across multiple divisions. In the Open Division, Willow Glen defeated St. Francis 4‑2 on Tuesday, and the next round will see Archbishop Mitty host Hollister on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., with the final slated for Saturday at West Valley College at 3 p.m.
Division I softball semifinals include Alisal’s 2‑0 win over Aptos on Tuesday, and a later game between Hillsdale and San Mateo on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The Division I final will be on Saturday at San Jose City College, starting at 3 p.m.
Division II softball will see Monterey defeat Burlingame 10‑3 on Tuesday, and a Wednesday afternoon contest between Woodside and Soquel at 4 p.m. The division’s championship is set for Saturday at San Jose City College at noon.
Division III softball features Live Oak’s 12‑3 victory over Capuchino on Tuesday, and a Wednesday matchup of Leigh against Milpitas at 4 p.m. The division’s final will be on Saturday at West Valley College at noon.
Division IV softball semifinals include a Wednesday slate of games featuring Pacific Grove versus Branham and The King’s Academy versus Notre Dame‑Belmont. The division’s championship is scheduled for Saturday at San Jose City College at 10 a.m.
In Division V softball, Santa Clara beat North Monterey County 17‑16 on Tuesday, and a Wednesday afternoon game will pit Gunn against Silver Creek at 4 p.m. The division’s final will be on Saturday at West Valley College, with the start time to be announced.
