A packed slate ahead
The Central Michigan Chippewas field hockey program unveiled its 2026 schedule this week, laying out a blend of home tournaments, cross‑country road trips and a full slate of Mid‑American Conference contests.
Opening homestand and early road trip
Fans can mark their calendars for a season‑opening two‑game homestand against Mercyhurst on September 11 and 13, followed by a home clash with Saint Louis on September 20, the third home game of the year.
The early road swing takes the team to the West Coast, where they will meet UC Davis, California and Stanford in a three‑game stretch that tests their non‑conference mettle.
Neutral‑site showdown in Indiana
After the California swing, the Chippewas head to Bloomington, Indiana, for a neutral‑site showdown with New Hampshire before facing the Hoosiers on their own turf.
Conference battles and home‑and‑home series
Mid‑American Conference play kicks off with visits to Ball State on September 25 and Massachusetts on September 27, after which the home conference schedule features Longwood on October 9, Bellarmine on October 23 and Miami (OH) on October 30.
The non‑conference slate wraps up with a road trip to Saint Louis on October 4, completing a series of away games that include Kent State, Ohio, Appalachian State and James Madison.
