Central Michigan University Launches First Annual Coaches Show Ahead of 2026 Football Season

Free live broadcasts at Soaring Eagle Casino feature head coach Matt Drinkall and quarterback Angel Flores, with a full schedule of in‑person shows and online replays.

The Central Michigan University football program will host its inaugural Coaches Show on Thursday, a free event that brings together key coaches and players for pre‑season insights ahead of the 2026 campaign.

The live broadcast will begin at 6 p.m. at the Ascend Sports Bar & Lounge inside Soaring Eagle Casino, and viewers can watch the program on CMU Athletics’ YouTube, Facebook and X (Twitter) pages without any charge.

Host Adam Jaksa will introduce the show, which features interviews with head coach Matt Drinkall, quarterback Angel Flores, and veteran coaches Jim Chapin and Martin Koivisto, providing a breakdown of the upcoming opponent and a review of the previous game’s performance.

Event Overview

Four in‑person shows are slated for the 2026 season: the New Mexico opener on September 3, the Wyoming game on September 17, Homecoming against Akron on October 1, and the Western Michigan matchup on October 15, all taking place at the same venue with a schedule that may be adjusted.

During the eight weeks without live shows, a virtual version will air each Thursday, posting highlights and interview excerpts by 6 p.m. on CMU Athletics’ digital platforms, and a recorded copy will be uploaded to www.cmuchippewas.com the day after each broadcast.
