Central Washington University (CWU) is set to confer degrees on 46 student‑athletes and 10 graduate assistants during its annual commencement exercises on Saturday, June 13, at Tomlinson Stadium in Ellensburg, Washington.
The ceremony underscores the university’s commitment to both athletic prowess and academic rigor, with 33 of the graduating athletes maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Among them, volleyball standout Ellie Marble distinguished herself with a flawless 4.0 GPA, exemplifying the balance of sport and scholarship.
Two Ceremonies, One Celebration
The morning session, scheduled for 9:00 a.m., will welcome graduates from the College of Arts and Humanities and the College of the Sciences, while the afternoon session at 2:00 p.m. will feature candidates from the College of Business and the College of Education and Professional Studies.

The graduating cohort reflects the breadth of CWU’s athletic programs, spanning baseball, cheer, football, men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, and a host of track and field disciplines, illustrating the university’s diverse sporting landscape.
In addition to the student‑athletes, the university took the opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of graduate assistants whose behind‑the‑scenes work enriches campus life, reinforcing a culture of mentorship and community service.
Among the celebrated graduates are Drake Anderson, Logan Blank and Max Bledy, each of whom has contributed significantly to their respective teams and to the broader campus community.
