At Byrnes High School in South Carolina, senior Chanin Harris prepares for each game with a quiet moment of prayer, a ritual that has become as integral to his routine as his warm‑up drills.
A Commit Rooted in Faith
Ranked fourth in the Upstate Dandy Dozen for the Class of 2026 and ninth overall in the 2027 composite, Harris has attracted offers from Virginia, Boston College, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Duke, cementing his status as one of the most coveted prospects in the region.
Beyond football, he captured the SCHSL Class 5A Division 1 state title in the 100 meters with a time of 10.40 seconds, showcasing speed that translates to his receiving threats on the gridiron.
Coach and Community
Head coach Reggie Shaw praises Harris for his work ethic, teamwork and the way his faith informs his approach to every practice and game, noting that the player’s consistency and humility set a standard for younger teammates.
Harris says his ultimate aim is to reach 1,000 receiving yards and score 20 touchdowns in his final season, a milestone he hopes will open doors at Syracuse University, where he has already committed to continue both his athletic and academic journey.
