Charlotte 49ers Introduce ‘Extra Pass’ Referral Program
Season‑ticket holders at Charlotte Men’s Basketball will soon receive a personalized referral link that they can share with friends, family and colleagues, kicking off a new campaign aimed at expanding the 2026‑27 roster of season‑ticket owners.
The initiative, announced by the athletic department under new head coach Wes Miller, ties tangible rewards to each successful referral, creating a tiered system that grows more valuable with every new fan added to the fold.
Reward Tiers and What Fans Can Earn
Fans who bring in a single new season‑ticket buyer unlock the Niner Green tier, which includes an autographed team item and a post‑game court photograph. Reaching three referrals upgrades a supporter to Niner Gold, granting a $50 ticket credit and a hospitality upgrade for one game. Those who achieve five referrals can claim a $100 ticket credit, an in‑game shout‑out, or a seat upgrade that may bring them courtside.
Referred fans also enjoy a special advantage: they can purchase season tickets at exclusive, discounted rates that are not available to the general public, effectively lowering the barrier to entry for the $99‑plus ticket price.
A Strategic Move for the Program
The referral drive is part of a broader strategy to fill the arena night after night, a goal that aligns with the ambitions of Coach Miller, who took the helm this season. By leveraging the existing base of season‑ticket holders, the 49ers hope to generate buzz, fill the stands and deepen community engagement before the first game of the 2026‑27 schedule.
Email communications with the referral links are slated to land in fans’ inboxes in the coming weeks, giving them ample time to spread the word before the campaign officially launches.
