The Charlotte Checkers have unveiled their 2026‑27 schedule, a 72‑game slate that promises a packed calendar of on‑ice action for fans across the East Coast and beyond.
A Milestone Start
The season will open on October 3 with a road contest against Hershey, marking the franchise’s earliest competitive start ever, and just two weeks later the club will return to Bojangles Coliseum for its home opener, kicking off a stretch that will see 28 of the 36 home games played on weekends, including 14 Saturday dates.
Rivalries and New Matchups
A revamped Atlantic Division now comprises seven teams, and the Checkers will meet each divisional opponent eight times throughout the campaign, while also facing four North Division rivals — Cleveland, Rochester, Utica and defending Calder Cup champion Toronto — four times apiece. The schedule also features the team’s first‑ever meeting with the Colorado Eagles on October 27, and a debut School Day Game on December 8 against Wilkes‑Barre/Scranton that blends hockey excitement with classroom learning.
Fans can secure season tickets, mini‑plans and group outings immediately, while individual tickets will become available later in the offseason, ensuring a full slate of community engagement throughout the year.
