Chase Elliott Returns to Truck Series at North Wilkesboro in Tribute to Kyle Busch

The No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado will make its first start since 2023, sponsored by HendrickCars.com, as Elliott steps into a seat left vacant by the late Kyle Busch.

Chase Elliott is set to make his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start in more than three years when he climbs into the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado at North Wilkesboro next month.

A Tribute in Motion

The appearance comes as a tribute to Kyle Busch, who was originally slated to drive the truck but passed away last month, leaving the seat open for Elliott and the No. 7 team.

HendrickCars.com will serve as the primary sponsor for Elliott’s effort, adding a layer of corporate partnership that underscores the collaboration between the driver and the Hendrick Motorsports family.

Elliott, a veteran of 18 Truck starts with three victories in 2013, 2017 and 2020, brings a wealth of experience to a discipline he has not contested since the 2023 season‑opening Daytona event.

The No. 7 truck has been a rotating platform this year, having been piloted by Busch, Rajah Caruth, Connor Mosack, Corey Day, Sammy Smith and other drivers, each leaving their mark before Elliott takes the wheel.

In the Cup Series, Elliott has posted top‑five finishes at North Wilkesboro in the All‑Star Race and recently finished second at Chicagoland in his first 2026 O'Reilly season start, highlighting his continued competitiveness.

With two Cup victories already this year and a fifth‑place standing within Hendrick Motorsports, Elliott enters the Truck race poised to add another chapter to his career while honoring a series legend.
