A Recruit's Crossroads
Chayse Brown, a three‑star prospect from Lennard High School in Florida, announced his verbal commitment to Florida State University in June 2024, securing a spot in the Seminoles' 2028 recruiting class.
Although he has known the Florida Gators' coaching staff since his early high school days, Brown says the program's emphasis on player development and its offensive scheme have captured his imagination.
Ranked No. 570 nationally and No. 26 among Florida prospects by Rivals, Brown also brings a versatile skill set that saw him record six tackles, one interception and 20 receptions for 334 yards and three touchdowns on offense last season.
The Recruiting Landscape
With an official visit scheduled for Aug. 29 against New Mexico State, the Seminoles have a narrow window to make a lasting impression, even as the Gators and other suitors continue to court the talented athlete.
The competition underscores how early pledges can be reshaped by late‑season visits, especially when a player's family ties and personal preferences align with a school's vision.
