A Free Clinic for Future Flag Football Stars
The Chicago Bears and the Rockford Park District are set to host a free Girls Flag Football Clinic in Loves Park, Illinois, on May 16, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two. The event is expected to draw roughly 250 middle and high school girls eager to learn the fundamentals of the sport.
Coaching the participants will be Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai alongside Laneah Bryan, a member of the U.S. Women’s Flag National Team. They will be joined by the Bears’ Outreach Team, collegiate coaches, and local high school players who will guide the instruction and mentorship throughout the day.
The clinic’s curriculum includes a dynamic warm‑up, offensive and defensive drills, and competition‑based activities designed to build skill and confidence. Attendees will also engage in team‑building exercises that highlight the collaborative nature of flag football.
