Chris Curry, the longtime baseball mentor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, has agreed to a five‑year contract extension that locks him in through the 2031 season.
The agreement not only stabilizes the program’s leadership but also underscores the university’s confidence in Curry’s ability to continue building on recent successes.
Milestones on the Field
Under his guidance, the Trojans captured an NCAA Regional championship in 2025 and broke new ground the following year with their inaugural appearance in the NCAA Super Regionals.
Those achievements marked the first time the Little Rock program advanced beyond the regional stage, elevating the school’s profile on the national collegiate stage.
A Journey Across the Map
Curry’s path to Little Rock began in 2015, after stints as an assistant at Northwestern State University in Louisiana and as head coach at Meridian Community College in Mississippi.
Prior to that, he honed his craft at Arkansas Tech University and Hendrix College, and earlier served as an assistant at the University of Arkansas.
The continuity of his career reflects a steady climb, culminating in a role where he can shape the future of Trojan baseball for the next decade.
University officials say the extension aligns with a broader vision to grow athletics, attract recruits, and foster community engagement in Arkansas.
