Rockford Christian School has announced the appointment of Chris Daleo as the new head coach of its boys basketball program, effective immediately as the team gears up for the upcoming winter season.
A Legacy of Leadership
Daleo arrives with a résumé that includes stints as head coach and general manager of the Rockford Lightning from 2002 to 2006, a period during which he guided the club to notable heights in the Continental Basketball Association.
His coaching journey also features a championship run with the Champaign Swarm in 2015 in the Midwest Professional Basketball Association, where he steered the team to the league title.
International Experience and Recognition
Daleo’s international footprint extends to Thailand, where he honed his craft with local clubs, and he remains the only coach in the county’s history to capture silver medals with both the Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
Accolades punctuate his career, including five Coach of the Month honors and the distinction of being named American Conference All‑Star Coach in 2008, reflecting his consistent impact on the sport.
Beyond the X’s and O’s, Daleo is recognized for his mentorship and leadership, qualities that align closely with Rockford Christian’s mission to develop well‑rounded student‑athletes.
