Chris Hart, who spent two decades as an assistant and coordinator for the Wolfpack, was announced this week as the new head coach of NC State baseball. His deep roots in the program give him a unique perspective as he steps into the role.
A Staff Built on Experience
Long‑time pitching coach Clint Chrysler enters his eighth season, while Bo Robinson, who joined after nine years at Charlotte, begins his fifth year on the staff. J.T. Jarrett, the Director of Player & Program Development, rounds out a leadership group that also includes Tyler Stocum, the Director of Operations, and Joshua Fisher, who oversees Baseball Analytics.
The coaching staff is expected to prioritize catcher development, an area the program has identified as a need. At the same time, the front office is weighing how the transfer portal and the MLB draft will reshape the roster. Four seniors will exhaust their eligibility, and 14 draft‑eligible players could test the professional market, with outfielder Gunnar Alm emerging as the most likely candidate to sign.
Retaining key talent remains a priority. The analytics team, led by Fisher, is mapping out a schedule that balances non‑conference matchups with the demands of a competitive draft class. Incoming freshmen such as Dalton Bargo, Brayden Fraasman, Wyatt Peifer and others bring a mix of power and speed that could offset the expected departures.
Beyond the field, the program’s connections to nearby institutions like Charlotte and ECU provide additional scouting and developmental opportunities. The Wolfpack’s leadership hopes that this blend of experience and youthful energy will keep the team competitive in the ACC and beyond.
