USF men's basketball coach Chris Mack is shaping the non‑conference schedule for the upcoming season, confirming games against St. Louis, the College of Charleston and a much‑anticipated showdown with DePaul.
The DePaul matchup carries extra weight because of the past battles between Mack and DePaul coach Chris Holtmann, who previously clashed during their Big East tenures.
Renewed rivalry fuels anticipation
Adding to the excitement, Mack has secured the commitment of transfer Donovan Waleskowski from Holy Cross College. Waleskowski, a freshman standout at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, shot 32.7 percent from three‑point range last season.
The Bulls' roster now blends three seniors, a graduate student, four sophomores, three pure freshmen, a redshirt freshman and three juniors, creating a balanced mix of experience and youthful energy.
Mack believes the new schedule and the addition of Waleskowski will test the team against top competition and help fine‑tune their play before conference action begins.
