Chris Rodgers, a senior linebacker for Tulane, has earned a spot on the 2027 Senior Bowl Top 300 list, a prestigious compilation that identifies the nation’s most promising draft‑eligible players.
A Breakout Season in New Orleans
During the 2025 campaign, Rodgers started every game for the Green Wave, finishing second on the team with 80 tackles. His impact extended beyond sheer volume, as he recorded seven tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, an interception, a pass breakup and a forced fumble, underscoring his versatility on defense.
The Senior Bowl’s scouting panel, composed of former NFL personnel directors, evaluated more than 2,000 prospects before selecting the elite 300. Rodgers joins nine other athletes from non‑Power 4 schools, a testament to the growing recognition of programs outside the traditional power structure.
