A New Era for Tulane Baseball
Tulane University has named Chris Wojick its new pitching coach and recruiting coordinator, a move that signals the program’s intent to sharpen its competitive edge in the highly contested collegiate baseball landscape. Wojick will be joined in New Orleans by his wife, Courtney, and their two daughters, Paisley and Mackenna, who are eager to become part of the city’s vibrant community.
A Proven Track Record
Wojick arrives after a distinguished stint at Yale University, where he guided the Bulldogs’ pitching staff to the top of the Ivy League rankings for two consecutive seasons and helped the team secure its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2017. At Yale, his staff also produced the Ivy League and Northeast Pitcher of the Year in both 2025 and 2026, underscoring his ability to develop elite talent.
His coaching journey includes a standout year at Eastern Connecticut State University in 2022, when his pitching staff posted the nation’s best ERA in Division III, and earlier contributions that helped Wesleyan University achieve consecutive 30‑win seasons in 2014 and 2015. These experiences reflect a consistent pattern of elevating programs through strategic recruiting and analytical development.
Athletic director Gary Walters praised the hire, stating that Wojick’s proven track record in player development and recruiting aligns perfectly with Tulane’s ambition to compete at the highest level. Walters expressed confidence that the new coaching staff will translate their analytical expertise into immediate on‑field improvements for the Green Wave.
