Tennessee basketball announced the addition of VCU’s center Christian Fermin for the 2026‑27 campaign, completing a frontcourt that already includes Rubin, Braedan Lue and DeWayne Brown.

Fermin brings a solid defensive résumé, having recorded 111 career blocks and posting block rates that placed him in the 46th and 50th percentiles nationally during his sophomore and junior seasons.
His rebounding presence is equally notable; he pulled down double‑digit offensive boards in each of his last two seasons and consistently converted a high percentage of his shots from the paint, with 109 of 119 attempts coming inside the arc.
Coaches expect him to contribute 10 to 15 minutes per game off the bench, providing rim protection against SEC opponents and serving as a screener who can finish at the rim when the ball is kicked out.
The roster now stands full, allowing the Vols to shift focus to the 2027 recruiting cycle and summer workouts as they fine‑tune their lineup for the upcoming season.
