The Minot State men's hockey program has named senior defenseman Christian Kadolph as its captain for the 2026‑27 season, a decision that reflects both his on‑ice contributions and the regard he commands among teammates and staff.
Kadolph enters his final collegiate year after appearing in 144 games for the Beavers, during which he recorded 27 goals and 109 assists, placing him second all‑time among defensemen in program history and establishing a single‑season assist record of 41 in 2023‑24.
A Player‑First Philosophy
Coaches have praised his relentless work ethic, humility and the steady presence he brings to the locker room, qualities that have made him a natural leader in the eyes of the administration.
In remarks after the announcement, Kadolph said he feels honored to lead the team and is focused on promoting accountability and collaboration, noting that the captaincy is an opportunity to represent the program positively both on the ice and in the community.
He will be supported by Colby Joseph, who returns for a second straight season as an assistant captain, while the remainder of the leadership group will be determined when the squad reconvenes in the fall.
