Championship weekend preview

The Southern Section of the California Interscholastic Federation will conclude its baseball season this weekend with a series of championship games spread across two venues in Orange County. Fans can expect a full slate of contests on Friday and Saturday, featuring teams from Laguna Beach, Glendora, Rancho Alamitos and Schurr.

In the Division 4 final, Laguna Beach will meet Glendora at Cal State Fullerton at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The contest marks the second time Laguna Beach has reached a CIF‑SS title game, having captured the championship in 2016, while Glendora seeks to add another trophy to its program.

The Division 8 final will see Rancho Alamigos take on Schurr at Morongo Field, also on Saturday, but at 2 p.m. This will be Rancho Alamigos’ first appearance in a CIF‑SS baseball championship game, adding a fresh narrative to the tournament.

Admission to both finals is priced at $16 for adults and $8 for students and children 13 and younger. Tickets are being sold through GoFan.co, the official ticket supplier for CIF‑SS championship events.

Parking logistics differ by venue. Morongo Field offers free parking for spectators, while Goodwin Field, used for additional games, charges $12 per vehicle. Payments can be made at on‑site kiosks or via the ParkMobile app.

The schedule also includes a series of earlier games on Friday at both Cal State Fullerton and Morongo Field, ensuring a busy weekend of baseball action across the region.
