Earlier rounds produced a series of tight semifinals: St. John Bosco edged Harvard-Westlake 3-1, while Norco slipped past Notre Dame 5-2; Ganesha downed Newport Harbor 2-1; Loyola topped Foothill 6-3; Mira Costa crushed St. Francis 12-0; Agoura beat Millikan 3-1; Glendora edged Saugus 3-2; Laguna Beach edged Grand Terrace 2-1; Kaiser edged Irvine 3-2; Culver City edged Long Beach Wilson 4-3; Brentwood routed Trinity Classical Academy 8-0; Covina dispatched Lakewood 6-1; South El Monte shut out Norwalk 3-0; North Torrance downed Santa Paula 9-3; Schurr defeated Duarte 4-2; Rancho Alamitos blanked Oxford Academy 3-0; and Rolling Hills Prep edged Temecula Prep 5-3, while Webb posted a 24-15 victory over Crossroads Christian.
All of the games will be held at the Cal State Fullerton campus, a venue that has become synonymous with the section’s championship weekend, and the Spectrum broadcast will provide live coverage of the Division 1 final, ensuring that fans who cannot attend in person can still follow the excitement in real time.
