Playoff Action Set for Tuesday
The California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section baseball playoffs will unfold on Tuesday, May 19, with games scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening.
Most contests are slated to begin at 3:15 p.m., though a few matchups will start at different times, including a 2:30 p.m. game and a 6 p.m. evening fixture.
Division 1 Highlights
The top tier of the bracket features two marquee series: Sierra Canyon will host Cypress, while Huntington Beach travels to face La Mirada, both representing the deepest pool‑play battles of the round.
Additional Division 1 games include contests that will determine which teams advance to the next stage of pool play, adding urgency to each at‑bat.
Across the Divisions
Division 2 will see Elsinore take on Santa Margarita at 2:30 p.m., alongside Newport Harbor versus Great Oak and Servite against Foothill.
In Division 3, matchups such as Dos Pueblos versus Edison and Corona del Mar against Fullerton promise competitive play.
Division 4 action includes Glendora versus Katella on Wednesday, while Upland meets Canyon and La Quinta faces Marina. Woodbridge will square off against Laguna Beach later in the week.
Lower divisions feature contests like Citrus Valley versus Irvine in Division 5, and a 6 p.m. showdown in Division 6 where Troy meets Trinity Classical Academy, among others.
The schedule also includes Division 7’s Norwalk versus Garden Grove, Division 8 pairings such as Edgewood against Rancho Alamitos, and Division 9 games with Westminster battling Bethel Christian at 3:30 p.m., culminating in a St. Pius X‑St. Matthias versus Santiago clash.
