The University of Cincinnati announced this week that forward Deshaun Vaden has committed to the program for the 2026‑27 campaign, adding a versatile defensive presence to the Bearcats' lineup.
Defensive Anchor with Remaining Eligibility
A Cleveland native, Vaden will retain two years of eligibility after a two‑season stint at Mount Union, where he appeared in 44 games and posted averages of 5.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per contest.
During his sophomore year he logged 29 appearances, shooting an efficient 64.2 % from the field while continuing to anchor the defense.

Coach Jerrod Calhoun highlighted Vaden's impact, noting that his shot‑blocking ability and willingness to defend make him a valuable asset as the program enters a new era.
