Chelsea Football Club announced a landmark partnership with Circle Internet Group, naming the latter as Principal Partner and front‑of‑shirt sponsor for the upcoming 2026/27 season.
Under the deal, Circle’s USDC stablecoin will appear on the jerseys of the men’s first team, the women’s side and the Academy, making it the most visible introduction of a regulated digital dollar to global football audiences.
The first public display of the Circle and USDC branding is set for Sunday’s Premier League match against Brighton, after which the logos will become a permanent feature on the club’s iconic shirts.
A shared vision for a borderless financial future
Jeremy Allaire, Co‑Founder and CEO of Circle, said the partnership reflects a belief that USDC should work seamlessly for everyone, much like the internet’s borderless design. He added that the collaboration will help reduce the cost and friction of moving value worldwide.
Kash Razzaghi, Chief Commercial Officer of Circle, noted that the alliance underscores shared convictions about a future where finance is open and accessible to all, while Jason Gannon, President of Chelsea FC, described the deal as a pivotal step in the club’s digital evolution.
Aki Mandhar, CEO of Chelsea FC Women, expressed excitement about introducing Circle and USDC to the women’s team’s fanbase, and Todd Kline, President of Commercial at Chelsea FC, highlighted the alignment between Circle’s mission to transform global money movement and Chelsea’s own global ambitions.
Beyond the visual impact, the partnership aims to educate supporters about the benefits of stablecoins, from faster cross‑border transfers to greater financial inclusion, reinforcing Chelsea’s role as a pioneer at the intersection of sport and technology.
