Emerging Stars on the Radar
Jericho Swinger of Asheville High, a sophomore who recorded four catches for 51 yards last season, is already drawing attention for his sure hands and precise route running.
Brayden Crain from Christ School built on his 2025 campaign with eight receptions for 97 yards and four touchdowns, highlighted by a game‑winning score in the state championship.
Jake Gerolimatos of Enka High School contributed 14 catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns across nine games, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and create mismatches.
Additional Noteworthy Performers
Kaine Boone of McDowell added eight grabs for 82 yards, while Foster Calloway from Mountain Heritage tallied five receptions for 92 yards and three touchdowns.
Anthony Catuto of Murphy helped the Bulldogs reach the 2A state championship with eight catches for 177 yards and three scores, and Slade Gardner at Owen posted 16 catches for 182 yards and two touchdowns in eleven games.
John Hansen of Tuscola, a sophomore, recorded 12 receptions for 148 yards and two touchdowns, also contributing a rushing touchdown.
Tay Williams, whose contributions were noted throughout the season, adds another dimension to the tight end corps.
