The City Section high school baseball championship games wrapped up over the weekend, featuring contests across Division II, III and the Open division, each played at distinct venues throughout the Los Angeles area.
Friday’s Division II and III Action
On Friday, LA Roosevelt edged South East 5-3 in Division II at Stengel Field, while Fremont posted a 2-0 shutout of LA Hamilton in Division III at the Fremont campus.
Saturday’s Division I and Open Division Showdown
Saturday’s slate culminated with Birmingham capturing the Open Division title, defeating El Camino Real 4-2 at Dodger Stadium, and Verdugo Hills narrowly beating Taft 2-1 in Division I, also at Dodger Stadium.
