The City Section high school baseball playoffs reached a decisive stage on Wednesday, with four teams battling to secure spots in the championship round.
Semifinal Results
El Camino Real edged Granada Hills 4-3 in the OPEN DIVISION, while Birmingham routed Carson 4-1. In the DIVISION I bracket, Taft shut out Venice 2-0 and Verdugo Hills slipped past Sylmar 2-1, setting the stage for the weekend’s showdowns.
Championship Schedule
Friday’s slate features the DIVISION II final between South East and LA Roosevelt at East LA College, starting at 5:30 p.m., and the DIVISION III final pitting LA Hamilton against Fremont at Fremont, with a 2:30 p.m. first pitch.
Saturday’s marquee contests will be held at Dodger Stadium. The OPEN DIVISION final will see El Camino Real face Birmingham at 1 p.m., while the DIVISION I final will showcase a clash between Taft and Verdugo Hills later in the day.
