Class C All-State Honors Spotlight Claiborne Christian
The Louisiana Sports Writers Association revealed its 2026 Class C All-State baseball and softball teams on Friday, May 29, spotlighting a wave of talent from Claiborne Christian School.
In baseball, sophomores Rylan Davis and Cade Wallace alongside junior Parker Bearden earned All-State honors, contributing to a season that culminated in a decisive victory over top‑seeded Maurepas.
Rylan Davis stood out as the Class C MVP, posting a 3.40 earned run average and a .353 batting average, highlighted by a one‑hit shutout with nine strikeouts against Maurepas that secured the championship.
Coach Josh Uchtmann’s guidance was recognized with the Coach of the Year award, underscoring his impact on the team’s performance and culture.
The softball side also shone, with sophomores Ariel Brown and Bella Rollins earning All-State nods. Brown batted .402, adding eight doubles and a triple, while Rollins posted a .548 average, two home runs, 11 doubles, five triples and 31 stolen bases.
Both programs reflect the school’s growing prominence in Louisiana’s Class C landscape, blending pitching excellence, hitting prowess and aggressive base running.
The Louisiana Sports Writers Association, the governing body for the honors, continues to celebrate emerging talent across the state’s high school sports.
