A Dual‑Sport Commitment
Clark Erwin, a senior from Marshall, Michigan, has officially committed to Albion College, where he will join the Britons basketball and golf programs.
During his high school career at Marshall, Erwin helped the basketball team capture a share of the Interstate 8 Conference title and a district championship, while averaging 15.1 points per game and earning all‑conference honors.
On the golf course, he emerged as Marshall’s top golfer this spring, winning the Hillsdale Academy Invitational and climbing into contention for the No. 1 spot in the Interstate 8 Conference, with a state ranking that places him among the top 50 golfers in Michigan.
Erwin’s physical stature — standing well above six feet — gives him a distinct advantage in both sports, allowing him to dominate in the paint on the basketball court and to generate power on the fairway.
Coaches who recruited him highlighted his versatility and work ethic, noting that he practices daily to sharpen his game in both arenas. The dual‑sport commitment reflects a growing trend among elite high school athletes who seek to leverage their all‑around abilities at the collegiate level.
Albion College’s athletic director praised Erwin’s decision, stating that his addition will strengthen the programs and provide a model for future multi‑sport recruits. The college’s basketball and golf teams are expected to benefit from his height, skill set, and relentless drive.
