Sophomore forward Katie Beck stole the spotlight, netting two goals in her debut at the varsity level, a stark contrast to her four-goal total as a freshman.
A Breakout Performer
Beck's sudden emergence comes after the graduation of All-Ohio standouts Brinley Barnett and Ashtyn Wine, who contributed 36 and 29 goals respectively in 2025, leaving a 65-goal void that the team hoped to fill.
Joining Beck on the scoresheet were Lily Swendal and Maci Roberts, each adding a goal, while senior wing Asia Bechtel exited the match with a knee brace after a collision.
Coach Brittany Bechtel praised Beck's development, noting that her best performance last season came against Ottawa-Glandorf, and emphasized the importance of confidence-building early in the year.
