Clemson's baseball program has made a notable move in the offseason by securing outfielder Jamie Daly from Davidson via the transfer portal. The addition underscores the Tigers' intent to deepen their lineup as they prepare for the upcoming 2027 campaign.
A Strategic Addition to the Tiger Lineup
Daly arrives after a standout sophomore season in which he batted .335, hit 11 home runs and drove in 40 runs, while also posting a .449 on‑base percentage and an OPS that placed him among the leaders in the Atlantic 10. Over two collegiate years he has compiled a .327 career average with 19 homers and 76 RBIs, earning Atlantic 10 All‑Rookie Team honors as a freshman after hitting .318 with eight home runs and 36 RBIs.
His speed also translated into 18 stolen bases and 18 multi‑hit performances, highlighting a well‑rounded skill set that should fit seamlessly into Clemson's center‑field defense. The transfer portal has become a key avenue for the Tigers, and Daly represents the fifth new face added this offseason.
The other newcomers include Troy Sudbrook from Toledo, Bennett Edwards from Georgia Southern, Isaac Incinelli from St. Johns River State College and Landon White from Bryant. Head coach Erik Bakich hopes that this group will provide the depth and offensive firepower needed to compete in the ACC and beyond.
With these additions, Clemson aims to strengthen its roster and improve its chances of making a deep run in the 2027 season, leveraging both experience and fresh talent to build on recent progress.
