A Recruiting Surge in Tiger Land
Clemson’s 2027 recruiting class received a significant boost this weekend as the Tigers secured verbal commitments from four-star defensive end Santana Harvey and three-star wide receiver Julian Cromartie. The announcements came amid a series of visits by elite prospects, underscoring the program’s continued momentum under head coach Dabo Swinney.
Top Prospects Commit
Harvey, rated No. 284 overall and the 35th edge rusher in the nation, chose Clemson over a host of other suitors. His decision reflects both the defensive scheme’s appeal and the personal connections he forged with the coaching staff.
Cromartie, the son of former NFL defensive back Antonio Cromartie, brings a potent receiving skill set after posting 824 yards and 13 touchdowns in his junior season. His pledge adds a dynamic playmaker to the Tigers’ offensive arsenal.
Class Rankings and Future Outlook
The class now stands at 15 commitments, nine of which are four-star athletes, placing Clemson at No. 13 in the national rankings. Among the other notable pledges are Jamarin Simmons, Bryce Kish, Gary Walker and Kharim Hughley, each of whom could further shape the roster.
Beyond the signed prospects, Clemson hosted a slate of additional four-star recruits who remain on the radar, including Ta'Shawn Poole, Jayden Aparicio-Bailey, Cahron Wheeler and Seth Tillman. The coaching staff’s ability to attract top talent from states such as Texas, Michigan and Georgia highlights the program’s expanding footprint.
