Clemson University has revealed the full slate of players set to join its 2027 baseball program, a class that totals 19 newcomers. The announcement underscores the university’s intent to rebuild a competitive squad ahead of the upcoming season.
The incoming cohort comprises 11 high school graduates, a single junior college transfer and seven athletes who moved in from other NCAA programs. This mix reflects a strategic blend of fresh talent and experienced transfers.
Key Arrivals
Among the most highly rated transfers is Troy Sudbrook, who comes from Toledo and was ranked the No. 2 overall transfer in the country as well as the top third‑baseman prospect by D1Baseball. Jamie Daly, a center‑fielder from Davidson, earned the No. 3 spot among transfer center‑fielders, while Isaac Cadena from Southern California was listed at No. 6 among catcher transfers.
The freshmen class also brings notable prospects. Ethan Offing, Chase Kiker, Louis Hernandez Jr. and Jaxon Matthews were all placed inside the top 150 freshmen nationally by D1Baseball. Kiker, Hernandez and Offing additionally appeared on Perfect Game’s list of the top 500 prospects for the 2026 MLB draft.
Offing’s talent was recognized early enough to secure a draft selection, as he was chosen in the 18th round by the Boston Red Sox. The buzz surrounding these players reflects a strong recruiting cycle for the Tigers.
Fall training is scheduled to commence on September 18 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, where the new roster will begin its preparation for the upcoming season.
