Clint Schnell Takes the Helm of Randall’s Boys Basketball Program

A seasoned coach with two decades of experience aims to build relationships and prepare players for a competitive season

A New Era for Randall Basketball

Randall announced Clint Schnell as its new head coach for the boys basketball team during a press conference on campus Wednesday, marking the start of a fresh leadership era for the program.

Schnell brings more than two decades of coaching experience, having served as a varsity assistant at Amarillo High last season and earning four district Coach of the Year honors throughout his career. He was also recognized as a TABC Region finalist for the Don Coleman Outstanding Coach of the Year Award.

In his first remarks, Schnell said he will use the summer workout period to forge relationships with the players, instill a shared sense of purpose, and set clear expectations before the season officially begins.

He emphasized that the UIL structure provides a timely opportunity for the team to catch up on conditioning and chemistry, allowing them to hit the ground running when classes resume.

Schnell’s ultimate goal is to mentor the athletes through challenges, both on and off the court, and to ready them to compete successfully in every game.
