The Cloverdale Eagles are poised to rewrite their recent narrative of struggle as they head into the 2026 season with a roster that blends senior experience and fresh energy.
First‑year head coach Seth Grell inherits a team that finished 2‑8 a year ago, but the departure of key veterans has been offset by the return of fifteen seniors, many of whom are entering their third year of varsity play.
Among the standouts are senior running back Carson Brown, the team’s all‑league back, and Jorge Guerrero, a versatile senior who contributes at running back, defensive back and as a kicker. At quarterback, Kyle Bernardi returns as a starter, while a cadre of pass‑catchers — including Vann Randolph, Francisco Santillian and Cash Langston — offer additional weapons.
A Deepening Roster
The coaching staff also benefits from the emergence of several junior varsity standouts — Evan Robledo, Jaxson Randolph, Hunter Wedge and Koa Domenichelli — who will add depth and allow the starters to rest without a steep drop in quality.
Cloverdale will battle a tough slate in the expanded North Central League I South Division, facing traditional rivals such as St. Helena and Middletown, as well as newcomers Lower Lake and Stuart Hall.
Coach Grell has repeatedly stressed that playoff success is the ultimate goal, not just for the seniors but for the underclassmen eager to prove themselves on a bigger stage.
