The Coachella Valley High School girls soccer team was recently presented with championship rings that commemorate an unprecedented season of achievement. The rings celebrate not only the team's victory in the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Division 5 Championship but also their historic run to the CIF Division 6 State championship, the first in program history.
A Season Defined by Firsts
The Lady Arabs captured the CIF Southern California Regional Division 6 championship and finished the season with 17 regular‑season wins, highlighted by a 3‑1 victory over San Jacinto on March 7. Their state‑championship appearance placed them second overall, marking a milestone for the school and the surrounding community.
Coach Francisco Morales and the coaching staff received public recognition for their leadership and the role they played in shaping the team's success, underscoring the importance of mentorship in youth sports.
Community Celebration
The Coachella Valley Unified School District seized the moment to honor the squad, emphasizing the values of dedication, teamwork and perseverance that defined their campaign. District officials noted that the achievement has sparked pride throughout the valley and inspired younger players.
As the championship rings serve as a lasting reminder of what has been accomplished, the team looks ahead with optimism, aiming to build on this momentum and pursue another title in the coming seasons.
