The 2026 regular season will be remembered as a watershed moment for Coastal Carolina baseball, as the Chanticleers announced that they attracted 112,526 spectators across their home schedule, shattering the previous attendance benchmark of 84,438 set just two years earlier.
Record-Breaking Crowds
That figure represents a 33.3 percent jump over the prior record and translates to an average of 3,880 fans per game – the first time the program has consistently drawn more than 3,000 supporters to each contest.
Four of the ten largest crowds in the history of Springs Brooks Stadium came during the season, with the two biggest single-game turnouts occurring against Clemson (6,103 attendees) and Fairfield (5,499 attendees).
A Program on the Rise
The surge in attendance coincides with the team’s return to the Men’s College World Series in 2025, a milestone achieved under the guidance of head coach Kevin Schnall, whose leadership has helped cement the program’s resurgence on the national stage.
Fans and analysts alike point to the growing regional interest in college baseball as a key driver of the momentum, suggesting that the Chanticleers are poised to maintain this upward trajectory in the coming seasons.
With the record-breaking numbers still fresh, the athletic department is already planning enhancements to fan experience and facilities, aiming to build on the excitement generated by the 2026 campaign.
