Coastal Carolina University will hold a watch party for its 2026 football season opener against West Virginia on Saturday, September 5, at the Ole Smoky Distillery location in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The event is timed to coincide with the noon kickoff at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, West Virginia, and will feature large indoor and outdoor LED screens to bring the action to fans who cannot travel to the stadium.
Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Chance Miller is slated to promote the gathering, highlighting the excitement surrounding the opening game and the university’s effort to create a vibrant game‑day experience for supporters across the region.
The watch party will include appearances by Chauncey Miller and the Coastal Carolina Dance Team, who will distribute raffle prizes throughout the afternoon. Attendees who wear teal apparel will receive a 10 percent discount on food and Ole Smoky merchandise, adding an extra incentive for fans to showcase school colors.
General Manager of Ole Smoky Distillery Chris Sobota collaborated with the athletics department to bring the event to the distillery’s new Myrtle Beach site, emphasizing the venue’s pet‑friendly outdoor area that welcomes fans bringing their animals.
Organizers hope the celebration will generate a lively atmosphere, allowing Coastal Carolina supporters to cheer on the Chanticleers together whether they are watching from the distillery, from home, or from any other location.
