Coastal Carolina University’s men’s and women’s soccer programs have once again been celebrated for their academic performance, earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025‑26 academic year.
The honor places the Chanticleers among 777 collegiate programs nationwide that received the distinction, with 326 men’s and 451 women’s teams recognized for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Only 175 institutions managed to have both their men’s and women’s programs awarded, underscoring Coastal Carolina’s consistent scholarly standards across both teams.
The women’s team posted a collective 3.70 grade point average, while the men’s squad recorded a 3.42 GPA, both comfortably exceeding the required threshold.
This marks the tenth straight year the men’s program has been honored and the twenty‑fourth overall for the women, reflecting a decade‑long commitment to balancing athletics and scholarship.
Looking Ahead to the 2026 Season
The women will open their schedule against Charleston Southern on August 13, 2026, at 6 p.m., while the men are slated to face NC State on August 20, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., preparing for another competitive campaign.
