The victory not only secured the program’s maiden baseball crown but also capped a season that ended with a 38‑24 record, a milestone that has energized the community and the team alike.

The tournament, part of the 2026 Wyoming Legion Baseball D2 State Tournament, brought together the state’s top junior teams in a single‑elimination format, with Cody’s offense exploding for double‑digit runs while the defense held the Giants to a solitary tally.
Star Performers Lead the Charge
Kanin Phillips emerged as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, batting .615 and delivering a home run, seven RBIs and seven runs scored across five games. His consistency at the plate set the tone for a lineup that averaged over three runs per inning.
Pitcher Lane Delzer was equally pivotal, earning the championship game MVP after a dominant four‑inning outing that yielded just one run on three hits and 70 pitches. He also contributed a .417 average at the plate, adding five RBIs and five runs to the scoreboard.
