The American Baseball Coaches Association, together with Rawlings, unveiled the 2026 Division II All-Region squads, spotlighting top talent across the Central Region.
Among the honorees, Colby Deaver from Blue Springs, Missouri, earned a First Team slot and was additionally crowned Central Region Pitcher of the Year, a testament to his dominance on the mound.
Pitching Excellence
Deaver’s statistical footprint is striking: he placed among the nation’s top five in six key pitching metrics, leading the pack with a 0.82 WHIP and a 1.50 ERA, while his 102 strikeouts sit ninth in program history for a single season.
In his final outing, Deaver delivered a complete-game performance against Missouri Southern at the MIAA Tournament, fanning 16 batters and underscoring his reliability in high-stakes moments.
Offensive Breakout
Logan Myers, also a First Team selection at second base, batted .408 with a .548 on-base percentage and posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, contributing to 36 double plays turned.
Noah Steele earned a Second Team nod at first base, having set career highs with 16 home runs, 67 RBIs, 46 walks, 60 runs scored and 11 stolen bases, reflecting a well-rounded offensive breakout.
The recognition extends beyond individual accolades, highlighting the program’s depth and the coaching staff’s ability to develop talent across the board.
Conference officials noted that the trio’s selections illustrate the Central Region’s competitive balance and the growing prominence of Division II baseball on the national stage.
