Kaulig Racing has confirmed that veteran sports car driver Colin Braun will pilot the No. 25 RAM 1500 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Lime Rock Park on July 11. The announcement marks Braun's first Truck Series start since 2011 and adds a seasoned road course specialist to the lineup.
A Road Course Veteran's New Challenge
Braun, a multiple IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship titleholder and four‑time Rolex 24 at Daytona winner, currently competes for Meyer Shank Racing in the premier sports car series. His résumé also includes a 2008 Rookie of the Year award in the NASCAR Truck Series and a lone Truck victory at Michigan International Speedway in 2009.
The No. 25 truck, guided by crew chief Alex Yontz, sits 25th in the owner standings after 13 races. AJ Allmendinger previously gave the entry its best finish of the season with a sixth‑place result at Watkins Glen International.
Kaulig's Free Agent program rotates drivers throughout the season, and Braun becomes the latest addition to the rotating roster. Looking ahead, Ryan Newman is slated to take over the No. 25 truck at North Wilkesboro Speedway on July 18, promising another chapter of experience on the short track.
