Le Moyne College announced this week that Colin Daly will serve as an assistant coach for the Dolphins' men's basketball team, bringing a blend of playing pedigree and administrative savvy to the program.
Daly’s career path has been marked by steady progression, beginning with his graduation from Temple University where he earned a bachelor's degree in business management and was recognized on the NABC Honors Court for academic excellence.
Following his playing days at West Chester University, where he appeared in 71 games and shot 40.5 percent from the field, Daly transitioned into graduate management at Temple before spending three seasons at North Carolina A&T University.
From Aggies to Dolphins
At North Carolina A&T, Daly oversaw travel logistics, meal planning, practice scheduling and recruiting visits, contributing to a program that posted 25 wins over his three‑year tenure, including an 11‑win campaign in 2025‑26.
His departure from the Aggies opened a vacancy that Le Moyne’s head coach Nate Champion quickly filled, citing Daly’s deep understanding of the game and his proven ability to organize complex operational tasks.
Champion remarked that Daly’s experience at both Division II and Division I levels equips him to mentor student‑athletes effectively, while his academic background underscores a commitment to holistic development.
Daly expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating that he looks forward to contributing to the program’s success and helping shape the next generation of leaders on and off the court.
The appointment replaces former assistant Benny Marello, who left to pursue another coaching position, and signals Le Moyne’s intent to strengthen its recruiting footprint across the Northeast and Mid‑Atlantic regions.
